TF North Families,

As colder weather approaches, I wanted to take a moment to share some updates and important information with all of you. The changing seasons bring with them a sense of transition and reflection, and it's an excellent time to celebrate our collective achievements and look forward to the exciting events on the horizon.

I am thrilled to announce some remarkable achievements by our students and teams.

  • Tennis Triumph: Our #1 Doubles Team made us proud by finishing 4th in the Sectional, marking an impressive milestone as the first tennis team to qualify for State in over 8 years.
  • Football Excellence: Our Football Team's hard work and dedication paid off as they finished the season with a stellar 7-2 record. For the first time since 2012, they hosted a home playoff game, showcasing their remarkable progress.
  • Musical Distinction: Our Band has been shining brightly as they clinched multiple awards, including the coveted "Overall Festival Grand Champion" title at the Rich Township Raptor Rumble Marching Band and Drumline Festival. Their dedication to musical excellence is truly inspiring.
  • Soccer Success: The TF United Boys Soccer Team displayed their skills and teamwork by clinching the championship in their bracket of the Body Armor Tournament. Congratulations to our talented athletes on this outstanding achievement.
  • Thorntonian Newspaper Committment: We are thrilled to congratulate the Thorntonian staff on yet another outstanding issue, showcasing the exceptional talents and hard work of our students. Kudos go out to them for reaching the impressive milestone of their fouth issue this school year, and especially on their remarkable achievement of publishing the third issue in one month.

Looking ahead, we have several exciting events and activities on the horizon. Make sure to mark your calendars:

  • Thursday, November 16 @ 5:30PM - Parent Advisory Board (PAB) meeting
  • Saturday, November 18 @ 2PM - Community Thanksgiving Dinner (prior sign-up required)
  • November 16-19 - Cinderella musical production
  • Tuesday, November 21 @ 6PM - Booster Club meeting
  • November 22-24 - Thanksgiving Break (No School)
  • Thursday, December 14 - Holiday Choir and Band concert
  • Friday, December 15 - Books with Santa
  • December 20-22 - Semester 1 Final Exams
  • December 25 - January 5 - Winter Break
  • January 8 - Classes resume

As the temperature drops and winter approaches, let's continue to support one another and stay engaged in all the wonderful events and activities that lie ahead.
