District Fees

Thornton Fractional District 215 assesses fees to in order to offset the direct costs of instruction, instructional materials, software and equipment to support the implementation of District 215 curriculum. The Board of Education approves fees for the upcoming school year every March.

Fee Waivers

Certain fees are waived for families qualifying for the federal free and reduced lunch program. Please see the table below for a list of fees waived for qualifying families. Families must re-apply for fee waivers every year.

All families are encouraged to apply here for a fee waiver - Families qualifying for a fee waiver will be informed by their school.

Fees 2023-2024

School equipment deposits are added to accounts of students who are borrowing district technology devices. These refundable deposits do not need to be paid because the fee will be removed when the device is returned. Any charges that need to be paid regarding lost or damaged technology devices will be communicated to families on an individual case basis.

Additional school related fees beyond those listed here may be assessed. If you have questions regarding any fees please contact your school's bookstore.

Fee Payment

Families will be invoiced for any fees assessed. Payments can be made by check at each school bookstore. Alternatively, fees can be paid online using the District’s online fee payment portal.

Lunch
All students in Thornton Fractional District 215, regardless of fee waiver status, qualify for free breakfast and lunch each day school is in session.
