Bus Schedule

Important Information

The district provides bus transportation to all students who live more than 1.5 miles away from the school. 1st period starts at 8:25 am each day and school ends at 3:25 pm on all days except for Wednesdays. On Wednesdays, dismissal is at 1:40 PM. Please make sure your scholar arrives no later than 8:15 each morning so they have enough time to go to their locker and make it to their 1st period class on time.

For the safety of all of our students, it is imperative that all drivers abide by the following drop-off/pick-up procedures. Under no circumstances should a student be allowed to exit a vehicle on W. Schultz Drive or Burnham Avenue.


The following are the drop-off/pick-up options:

Morning Drop offs:

  • Option I – Enter parking lot from Chicago Avenue and follow drive along large gym. Drop off student near cafeteria entrance, Door N-7, and immediately exit the lot by turning left onto Greenbay Avenue.
  • Option II – Enter W. Schultz Drive from Burnham Avenue (main/auditorium entrance). Turn left into the parking lot by the flagpole and immediately exit the lot after dropping your student off. For your student’s safety and the safety of others, do not allow your student to exit the vehicle while waiting to turn into the parking lot. Under no circumstances are you to exit your vehicle, idle for long periods of time or block traffic. 
  • No pick-ups or drop-offs are permitted on 186th Street or in the 186th Street parking lot (the “Horseshoe”). 
  • Students arriving at school are to report directly to the cafeteria. Students will not be allowed in the hallways or classrooms until 10 minutes before the first class begins, unless they have an appropriate pass from a teacher.

Afternoon Pickups:

  • Enter parking lot from Chicago Avenue and follow drive along large gym. Pick up student near cafeteria entrance, Door N-7, and immediately exit the lot by turning left onto Greenbay Avenue.
  • The W. Schultz Drive (main entrance) parking lot is closed to traffic at the end of the school day.
  • No pick-ups or drop-offs are permitted on 186th Street or in the 186th Street parking lot (the “Horseshoe”).

T.F. South offers bus transportation after school to make it easier to take advantage of many sports, clubs, and activities offered after school. 

Bus leaves TFS from the west side of the building at the following times:

  • Monday - 4:30 PM AND 6:15 PM 
  • Tuesday - 4:30 PM AND 6:15 PM 
  • Wednesday -  5:45PM 
  • Thursday - 4:30 PM AND 6:15 PM 
  • Friday -  5:45 PM
