Pre-Calculus
Pre-Calculus
In order to be ready for the school year, students enrolled in Pre-Calculus need to do some preparation and review over the summer to be successful in this course. Students should be proficient in the following before starting school in August:
- combine like terms
- distribute
- solve a linear equation
- factor quadratics
- solve for a specific variable in an equation or formula
- add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions without a calculator
- simplify square roots without a calculator
Within the first 5 days of school a quiz will be given on solving linear equations (variables on both sides, distribution, proportions, etc.), finding a least common denominator, adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions, and simplifying square roots with and without variables. A calculator will not be allowed on this quiz. As a courtesy, the worksheets (with answers) have been posted below.
