PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear Center Families,

I want to take a moment to reflect on the school year thus far. We have already completed the first quarter of the first semester. Parents and Guardians please take a moment to review PowerSchool and Schoology to assess your child’s progress. I am pleased to say that we had a number of students make honor roll and even more students get caught up on some of their credit recovery classes. Students are improving GPA’s and getting on the graduation track! I know that their success is fueled by caring adults, both at home and here at The Center. When we all work together, there is nothing that we cannot achieve.

As we head into cooler weather, we tend to contemplate SNOW DAYS. The great news is that those days are in our historical rearview mirror. District 215 has worked diligently to plan for E-Learning Days in cases of inclement weather or other school closure situations. Any E-Learning Day will allow students to access schoolwork and not have to add make-up days onto the end of the school year. Ensuring that your child is in the habit of bringing home their Chromebook and charger daily, they will be ready to work from home. The E-Learning plan will be housed on the website and details a schedule for the day, including how attendance will be taken.

If you have any further questions about your student’s academic progress or any concerns you would like to discuss since parent-teacher conferences, please feel free to contact us. We value your partnership in this process and remain committed to helping your child succeed.

As a reminder, school begins daily at 8:25 am. Attendance matters and we want our students to arrive on time, ready to work. Please reinforce this positive habit with them, as this is a life skill that they will need well beyond high school. Daily attendance is equally important. We want our students to strive for perfect attendance. When they are absent, we miss them, and they miss instruction.

Remember our success is inextricably linked together. Thank you for the continued partnership.

Sincerely,
 Raymond Williams, Principal
